Alex Fortenberry graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in
Geographic Information Science.
Alex began his career in GIS in the environmental field in 2016 and has worked on a wide variety of
projects in both public and private sectors. He is also a veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard.
Alex joined the district in January of 2022 and oversees the Computer and Geographic Information
Systems within the district. He currently serves on the Technical Advisory committee with the Louisiana
Mosquito Control Association.
Alex and his wife, Christie, currently live in Amite.
